The McAlister's Take Disney - Part 2

Day 2 Continued:  We stayed at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Magic Kingdom.  The monorail runs right through the lobby, which made things very convenient.  The hotel was beautifully designed, with A-frame supports that allowed for wide open space throughout.  Here's a few shots around the hotel.

After a short break from the park, the kids changed into their bathing suits and hit the beach and the pool.

The day wasn't over.  Next on the agenda was the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  What's a pirate adventure without pirates hats, so I brought along some for the kids to help get them in the spirit!  Arrrrrr Matey!

Who knew their light sticks would double as swords.  This was their pirate sword fight.

These were our pirate captains (and comedians) Pirate Patch and Pirate Patch.  And yes, they were both named Patch!

Ella got selected to carry our ship flag!  She marched us out of the hotel and down the dock to our boat!

We got to watch and hear the Electric Water Pagent from the boat.

Finally, we made our way to Bay Lake Lagoon in front of Magic Kingdom to enjoy Wishes fireworks show.

And guess who was waiting for us on the dock when we got back!

Day 3:  After a late night, our crew hoped out of bed early for breakfast with Mickey Mouse and the gang.  Fortunately, Chef Mickey's was located just outside our door in the lobby of the hotel so we didn't have far to go.  The kids really enjoyed all the character meals and the adults appreciated the food and effortless opportunity the meet the characters.  This was one more way to eliminate waiting in lines.
