We worked tirelessly on Brenna's "Rainbow" turkey feather and float. She did a great job! They both came out looking great! After looking over all the feathers and floats, it was very evident which parents did their kids homework and which parents let the kids do their own homework. I'm pretty sure a kindergartener can't understand the mechanics necessary a equip a turkey float with flashing Christmas lights and a remote control driver!
Proud of her creations!
The play was very sweet. The kids spent two weeks preparing. Brenna only had one line, which we rehearsed over and over again. "We found lots of wild cranberries growing!" She was a little indian girl. They kids got to decorate their costumes. Myself and three other moms cut out 125 pilgrim and indian costumes for the play! Oh My!
After the play the parents were asked to move into the hallways for the Kindergarten Turkey Parade. The whole school comes out to line the halls and watch as the kids parade their self-made (well, in some cases) Turkey Floats through the school. Brenna was thrilled that some 5th grades told her that they really liked her float!
Here she comes!
At the end she says "Mama my float fell over! But I fixed it though! All by myself!"
