December first until Christmas
Is the longest time of year.
It seems as though Christmas
Never will get here.
How many days until Christmas?
It's kind of hard to count.
So this little bell will help you
To know the exact amount.
Remove one link each night
As the sandman casts his spell
And Christmas day will here
By the time you reach the bell.
She has faithfully cut one link each night in her count down to Christmas and she grows more and more excited with each link that comes off. Also, we had Polar Express Day on Thursday, where the kids got to wear their PJs to school and enjoy a ride on the Frost Polar Express. The kids all got tickets to board the train and then kicked back and enjoyed the movie with hot cocoa and marsh mellows.
Notice Brenna in the middle holding up her Polar Express ticket! All the kids were excited to pile onboard. And yes, that is a train. We worked hard on it, although by the looks of it only a Kindergartener could really appreciate it!
Lights out! Time for the movie!
Finally, our last day of school on Friday was the Winter Party. The kids enjoyed cupcakes and candy and made an edible Christmas tree craft. They took sugar cones and covered them with icing and decorated them with mini m&ms and sprinkles. The kids enjoyed their treats and the play time. Fun was had by all.
School is out and the holiday madness has officially begun. We've spent most of the last two days with friends, enjoying Christmas lights, Christmas shows, and just hanging out. We've had a wonderful Christmas break so far!
