Brenna spent the entire trip in the pool. Seven straight days of pool fun, which coupled with the pool playdates we had before we left, totaled 11 out of 12 days in the pool. Some of you may remember my previous post a few weeks back where I mentioned that I was water logged. Now I just feel like driftwood.
Here's Brenna enjoying some of her few dry moments outside!
We had some of Brenna's cousins over for a pool party! Nothing tastes better than popsicles in the pool!
Brenna's been asking for Pawpaw to take her fishing. Mawmaw and Pawpaw had her a new pink fishing pole waiting for her when we got home. We went out to a family friends pond in hopes of catching "The Big One"!
Brenna drove Pawpaw's truck down to the pond.
Disappointment after only 10 minutes of fishing with no bites.
Got one! I love the look on her face!
Not so sure about the fish once she reeled it in!
The zoo carousel!
After a hot morning at the zoo, we cooled down for lunch at Rocket City Dinner, a fifties-style restaurant where kids get balloons and hula-hoops and can play in the walk-ways! Brenna and Anna put on quiet a performance for the us and other patrons.
The rest of the week was spent close to home playing in the pool and visiting family. Jodi and I even got a chance to get together for dinner one night, just the two of us, which I think is the first time since well before the kids. Brenna was sad to leave Mawmaw and Pawpaw's but she was excited to see Daddy and the cats. Here she is enjoying some of the art work at the New Orleans airport. We had a great trip and Jacob came home with some very nice Belgium chocolate!
