As soon as Brenna saw it and I told her Jodi painted it, the wheels in her little mind began to turn. That last thing she said to Jodi before we left was "Ms. Jodi, can we paint?" And that's all I've heard all week. So, I broke down and bought her water paints. I'll be the first to confess that I'm more innovative than creative. I have a knack for being able to create what I need from what I have or manipulate what I've seen into what I want. Creativity however, seems to evade me. I can only duplicate, not create. So, its a good thing Brenna has Jodi to fall back on (because lets face it, its not like Jacob's that creative either!) So, after alot of newspaper, some imaginative force from Brenna, and a trail of pink paint drops from the living room to the kitchen, here's what my little painter created!

Oh, I just love it! I can't wait to come over so B and I can paint together! She looks like she is having a blast! And give your self a little more credit, Kawanda. You are quite crafty!
ReplyDeleteFun! We've painted quite a few times, and while we prefer to do it outside, I've found the best strategy inside is to strap her in to a booster seat at the table and let her go for it. She always wears one of Brian's old t-shirts. We only buy washable paints so it comes right off your table. I can't remember if your chairs are upholstered or not. If the are, a paper tablecloth (that is lined with plastic on one side) makes a great "chair cover." :)
