Halloween

We kicked off Halloween on the soccer field with the annual Challenge Spooktacular soccer practice.  Yes, even when we celebrate we still have to work.  The girls wear costumes to practice and play fun 3v3 mini games, play "catch the coach", and raid the coaches candy stash.

Halloween night was truly a terror.  We had severe thunderstorms throughout the day and night and tornado warnings in the late afternoon.  Lucky for us, there was a short break in the weather that allowed Brenna and Hailey to canvas the streets near our house for some trick-or-treating fun.  Since everyone knew that the weather was preventing most trick-or-treaters from getting out, people were giving out massive amounts of treats and the girls came back with a huge haul of candy.

Finally, Halloween was extra special this year thanks to our first ever middle school dance!  Brenna and her friends attended the Howl at the Moon Dance.  Everyone worn costumes and enjoyed a live DJ, lots of dancing, and a Haunted Hallway.  I dropped her off at the door and patiently waited to hear how things were going.  It wasn't long before I received a texted with "This is awesome!" proceeded by lots of pics of friends in costumes and several videos from the dance floor that would give you motion sickness!  The dance definitely made it a Halloween to remember!
