Blessington Farms

A couple of weeks back, we had a rare free Saturday.  It was beautiful Spring weather so we decided to make a trip to the new Blessington Farms and pick strawberries.  Unfortunately, they were all out of strawberries!  The berries are grouped in pods off the ground and the farm only has a small area of pods compared to the acres of strawberry patches the Froberg's farm has.  I personally prefer the traditional patches at Froberg's, but Blessington had alot to offer in the way of other activities.

Since there were no strawberries to pick, our next stop was the sand hill!  This one thing alone would bring hours of enjoyment for Brenna.  She dug holes, made castles, rolled down it, ran down it, and built steps to climb up it!

We enjoyed a hayride around the farm!

Finally, we visited the Hen House.  This was as much fun as the sand hill.  I have never seen such tame chickens.  They were so happy to just sit in your lap and be petted.  Brenna loved it!
