We Won Yard of the Month for September!

Well, what do you think about that?  I've tried to be modest, but I'm absolutely thrilled that someone other than myself took notice of our yard.  Of course, Jacob thinks we won thanks to his beautiful green and very well manicure grass.  I know it was because of my tiered landscape design and pretty pink verbena (which are still blooming in September, thanks to a whole bunch of pruning!)  Our neighborhood has a Garden Club that sponsors the Yard of the Month program.  They pick 2 homes each month for 6 months out of the year.  They just kicked the program off last year, so we're 1 of less than 25 homes that have been given the award.  I thought that was pretty good for a neighborhood of more than 850 homes.  We even get a gift certificate to Enchanted Forrest, one of the local nurseries.
